Artem

A few weeks ago, I had the joy of taking pictures of the cutest 3-year-old ever!

Artem loves reading, and was quite comfortable surrounded by his favorite books in the studio.

Photobucket

Daddy read Artem his favorite story.

Afterwards, we had fun with blocks!

Artem was such a sweetheart, and I can't wait to work with him again!

Emmanuel and Jennifer

Saturday morning, Emmanuel and Jennifer braved the chilly weather to take some pictures with their cute Yorkies!

Photobucket

Dolce, named after Dolce & Gabbana, had a blast running free around T&P park!

Photobucket

Coco, named after Coco Chanel, had fun chasing Dolce, but still found time to snuggle up against Emmanuel.

Photobucket

Jennifer's little sister, Jessica, didn't want to miss out on the fun either!
After assurance was made that there would be no scary flash used, she was a natural in front of the camera!

Once it began to warm up outside, it was time for lots and lots of leaf throwing!

Emmanuel, Jennifer, and Jessica were a dream to work with and the puppies were absolutely adorable!

Thanks for being such troopers on a cold day!

Physique Experiment

A few weeks ago, my friend Chris came to me with an idea for a set of images.

He is the feature writer and editor of www.t-muscle.com and was looking for some new images to use as his avatar.

I had an idea of a certain lighting technique I wanted to try, so we set up the shoot yesterday and came up with some cool images!

Then we did a nice portrait highlighting his tattoo of his daughter's name.

I am loving this new lighting technique and I'm definitely going to explore it further!

Thanks Chris for being such an awesome model!

A New Expression

Ever have the feeling of wanting to create something you've never done before?

I had that feeling tonight, and I think I've stumbled upon something very interesting.

For so long, I have been creating photographs that are very "real."

Real life, real love, real relationships, in the way I see the world.

So I dug deep into the abyss of my hard drive and found a couple of images that speak to me.

I had some new fun with them, and I would like to share them with you.

Perhaps this is a beginning of a new direction. :-)

Gus and Latonya

I am very excited to share some engagement, bridal, and wedding images of Gus and Latonya!

I've had the joy of working with this couple since June and we've had a blast!

We shot their engagement photos in downtown Abilene.

Then, we shot Latonya's bridals at the Paramount Theatre.

Gus wanted to have a groom portrait as well.

Soon after, it was the day of the main event.

It's Time for Christmas Cards!

As the weather cools and the year winds down, the anticipation of the holiday season begins.

Christmas is my favorite time of year!

It is a chance to spend time with loved ones and eat good food.

I love the warm clothes and hot cocoa and smells of cinnamon and pine.

It is also a wonderful time to reach out and spread the joy of the holidays with others.

This is why I am excited to unveil this year's Christmas card templates!

As you can see, we have plenty of choices!

Weston and Miriam Engagement

Last weekend, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Weston and Miriam.

They are such a sweet-natured and loving couple!

They were willing to try whatever I suggested and we had a blast exploring downtown Abilene.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

Tomio and Amie's Reception

In September, I had the pleasure of taking pictures of Tomio and Amie's wedding reception!

Tomio and Amie are a lively, fun-loving couple and their reception was absolutely beautiful.

Sarah's Bridal Portraits

In July, I had the opportunity to create engagment photos for a fantastic couple!

Sarah and Joe were so natural in front of the camera, and their images turned out beautiful.

Photobucket

So, I was very excited when Sarah called me again in September wanting to surprise Joe on their wedding day with bridal portraits.

Of course, she didn't want just any bridal portrait.

She wanted to be next to a B-1 Bomber!

So we got day passes for Dyess Air Force Base and took pictures while Joe was in a class.

I love being in on a surprise!
