Jennifer's Family

Jennifer has had one idea for family portraits since forever...bluebonnets!

So this year, everything fell into place!

Thanks to my brother-in-law, we found the perfect place to take pictures of Andie and little Emma in bluebonnets.

The light was perfect, the weather beautiful, the flowers gorgeous, when all of a sudden, we realized bluebonnets aren't made up of just pretty blue petals.

They have stickers.

Lots and lots of stickers!!!

From my experience of being a little girl once, nothing strikes fear in the heart of a child quite like stickers do!

Thankfully, mom Jennifer saved the day by finding a seat cover to sit on in the flowers, and we got some great shots!

Here are my favs:

Jenair and Sarha Maternity

I was thrilled when Jenair and Sarha contacted me a few weeks ago to create some maternity portraits!

Not knowing when baby Layton was going to make his appearance, we quickly set it up and took the portraits in the studio.

Here are a few favs:

Reworks from the Abyss...

The abyss being, of course, the deep, dark, scary place that is my hard drive.

Where thousands upon thousands of images have gone and been forgotten...

...until now.

Da Da Dummmmm!!

Here are a few re-worked gems from a session I had with Roy, an incredible person with a remarkable story!

Joel and Ethan

Last week, Joel and little Ethan met me at T&P park to take some pictures for Ethan's upcoming birthday!

"E" and I had a blast running around the park! It was nice taking a break from giving direction and just focusing on shooting whatever Ethan did.

Here are a few favs!

Abilene Families: Mommy Made Over!

Today is a very exciting day!

The latest issue of Abilene Families is out, featuring a few photographs I took for the "Mommy Made Over" feature, including the cover image!

If you aren't familiar with Abilene Families, it is a magazine associated with Abilene Reporter News and the local school districts, Abilene ISD and Wylie ISD.

According to their website, Abilene Families focuses on the issues, joys and challenges facing families in Abilene.

One of the joys in family life in Abilene is the opportunity to win a fabulous makeover with Incognito At the Village Hair Salon and Dillard's.

Here are a few shots of lucky winner, Marissa, after her transformation:

Be sure to pick up your copy of Abilene Families today to check out the full story, and a few "before" shots of Marissa as well!

Special thanks to Incognito hairstylist, Maloree Munn, for her gorgeous work on Marissa's hair, to Regina Rains, owner of Incognito, for giving me this opportunity to shoot for Abilene Families, and to my beautiful hairstylist sister Tina Billiet! Also, thank you to Chesley Martin, editor of Abilene Families, for her sweet compliments!

Of course, I owe a huge thank you to Marissa Thompson for laughing on cue and walking like a supermodel!

You ROCKED it!! :-)

Courtney Senior Portraits

Remember this beauty from her sneak peek?

Photobucket

Well she's back!

Courtney met us at the Episcopal Church of the Heavenly Rest and the T&P park downtown for her senior portraits.

Steve Morrow, from Morrow Photography was gracious enough to assist me on this shoot, and he let me use his ExpoDisc for proper white balance!

I am never, ever shooting without an ExpoDisc again!

Courtney has the most incredible blue eyes, and we had such a blast on our shoot.

Pictures!!
